OUTLINE OF HISTORYThe territory of the contemporary commune of Łubianka was already inhabited in the Stone Age. Long and intriguing history of the commune of Łubianka was printed in autumn 2004 in a detailed monograph titled “The Commune of Łubianka, the History and the Present.” The publication commissioned by the Council Office in Łubianka was meticulously written by a historian Ryszard Kowalski.
The commune is famous for the abundance of precious buildings, of both sacred and secular character. The list of the most valued includes the medieval Teutonic Castle in Zamek Bierzgłowski, gothic churches in Bierzgłowo and Przeczno, and a Neo-Gothic church in Biskupice. The following are also worth mentioning: previous 19th-century manors, including the palace and the park in Wybcz and the palace in Warszewice
